Service Learning PSA

This service learning PSA was created for the local group Women’s Aid in Crisis, a private, non-profit corporation to provide comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking, in a six county area.

This service learning PSA was created for the Buckhannon Community with the purpose of fundraising and creating awareness. The lack of funding had prevented a fireworks celebration for the previous two years.




Service Learning Informational Video

This service learning informational video was created for an Upshur County artist. Christine Keller, a jewelry maker from the heart of Appalachia, located in Buckhannon, West Virginia, strives to create one-of-a-kind pieces of unique design and color, appealing to women of all ages, with an inclination toward whimsical, fun and edgier pieces that make a bold statement.




Service Learning Informational Video

This service learning informational video was created for a Randolph County artist. Scottie Wiest is a potter and has produced functional pottery for over 40 years, primarily in central West Virginia. She works with a group that promotes art in education and is part of an active arts community.

The first project that Digital Field Production students complete (COMM235) is a silent mood video. Each video tries to establish a basic mood—tranquility, anxiety, reverence, anger, patriotism, sensuality, spirituality, etc. — entirely through the selection of subject matter and the use of shot selection and without sound. Using Production Resources

Students who complete the Digital Field Production Certification Test with a score of 80% or better are allowed to use the digital field and post-production equipment for other projects throughout their remaining semesters at Wesleyan. Here is a team from a Small Group Communication class that used these resources to complete a class project.
